 Touring Europe in 365 Days

Touring Europe in 365 DaysIMAGINE yourself just turning 40 and you have just gotten your first pension payment in a lump or bulk sum. You have been retired early because of a disability but this physical disability can certainly not hinder you from touring around the world with your wife and kid. Where will you go especially if the pension that you will be receiving monthly is something akin as luxurious in the middle class? In other words, you can afford to spend touring around the world. If you are from the United States, you must not go to such countries as Canada and Mexico or even the Caribbean because they’re so boring already.

Take a trip across the Atlantic. Take Europe. Of course, you can’t bring your kids with you because they need to be in school and especially if you’re planning a one-year trip. Now you need to leave them at home with a nanny. Of course, you must talk to them beforehand to settle whatever emotional difficulties they may have in separating from their parents within a year. And there is no hindrance if your wife or your spouse is a homemaker. When you’re planning to spend a year in Europe, take it as a bulk. You must allocate and reserve or book flights and hotels early so that you won’t get stranded at the places that you will be going.

Let’s take the virtual tour according to the calendar year. It’s much better to spend the New Year in another country rather than celebrating it in a monotonous suburb in New Jersey, your home for 40 years. The most logical country to go to is Spain. Spain has that utmost devotion to Catholicism and New Year is still part of the Christmas celebration. In the civilian sense of the word, New Year is a secular celebration but as a religious rite, it is when the Motherhood of Mary is celebrated. Catholics from all over Spain are compelled to go to mass during this day. And before New Year’s Day, you must have booked your stay in Spain already. How about Madrid and enjoy the fireworks there with a bang?

Let the holidays first settle down before embarking on another trip across the country. Let it remain until the first Sunday of January to settle in Madrid. The first Sunday of January is the last day of the Christmas season and of course it’s the last day of shopping season. For the religious, it is called the Feast of the Epiphany but for the shoppers, it is the time to troop to the malls for the last time to get some bargain sales. It’s nice to splurge shopping here in Madrid. Then you can troop to other areas – along more exotic areas that are. Try Costa Blanca for example. It is located beside the Mediterranean so there are lots of fresh seafood right there. In fact, if you’re renting a vacation home from there with a grill, then you can buy your own fish catch and grill it yourself. Try to mix your barbecued grouper or salmon with olive oil because it has low fat content – it is touted as the healthiest cooking oil in the world.

I’ll go wherever you will go in Europe

I’ll go wherever you will go in Europe

EVEN people from within the continent are fascinated with Europe. Every year, millions of Britons fly away from their homes in the island to go directly to the Iberian Peninsula and go to Portugal and Spain. Only the English Channel separates the two bodies of land. Both Portugal and Spain have distinctive tourism favorites. In Portugal, there are lots of holiday resorts such as the ones found in Praia da Luz. There are also lots of holiday homes there up for lease and owners of these homes are usually British expatriates who make a living by being in the real estate business. That’s also true in Spain. Spain has lots of holiday resorts along its Mediterranean coastline. These include such famous tourist static clings as Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante. The Mediterranean coastline is where people all over Europe and even from other continents meet during summer. They love to frolic in the beaches there and enjoy the warm temperature of 18 to 23 degrees Celsius. This is the only place in Europe where you can find such warm climate. Besides, the Mediterranean offers vast produce of redfish, grouper and other fish which can be easily converted into seafood hours or even minutes away from being caught. You see, Spanish people love to devour their seafood fresh. They hate to eat them frozen and refrigerated. So it is not a surprise to find long queues in fishing villages and ports across the Mediterranean coastline of people lining up and waiting for their fishermen to haul off their catch of the day. Some classy restaurants in Spain even contract vans and huge fishing trucks to cart off all or most of the fish harvested from the sea at that exact moment. These fish head straight to the kitchens of these restaurants where they are cooked with olive oil, said to be the healthiest cooking oil in the world because of their less fat content.

And olive oil in Spain is fermented and cultivated in Palma del Mallorca. Palma del Mallorca is another outstanding tourist attraction in Spain during summer. It is not located at the Iberian Peninsula though; it is located off the European mainland. Students from as far as Paris troop there during summer. What the tourists do not instantaneously notice is the growing number of olive plantations there. In the business side of Palma del Mallorca, olive is being in demand there. Olive from Mallorca is exported to such countries as Italy.

Palma del Mallorca belongs to a group of islands called the Balearic archipelago. The most famous island in the Balearic is Ibiza. Ibiza has been the subject of many movies and songs because of its adoration to techno and house music. Ibiza is the more modest version of Cap d’Agde.
Cap d’Agde is the largest nudist community in France. What’s nice about Cap d’Agde is that the entire campus is domed and nudists will definitely have the time of their lives without worrying of any voyeur from above.

These are some of the fascinations of Europe. Of course, they cannot fit this article.
