Taking a Trip to the Pyrenees

Trip to Pryreness

I was so excited after my boss gave me a month off. I decided to take my travel to the Pyrenees somewhere between southern France and northern Spain. Since the Pyrenees is definitely a travel destination, lots of travel agencies here in the United States offer cheap package deals to the place. By cheap, I don’t mean you’re broke. It’s just that you’re really getting a fulfilling trip in return for your money. Travel agencies offer a lot of varied activities if you’re going to the Pyrenees. Rest assured that these trips all have safety nets so you need not worry of accidents in the place. Of course, these travel agencies insure you and insurance fee is part of their packages.

I opted for the Grampians Pyrenees Tours. There are other France-based travel agencies offering Pyrenees tours specializing in cycling, nature watching, etc. This one that I got is a generic one and let me recount my experience. Actually, Grampians Pyrenees Tours lets you choose a variety of packages too not just their generic one. They’ve got horse racing and winery tours. I didn’t choose the winery tours since I preferred to get one in Sicily or in Jerez, Spain the next time I’ll visit Europe. Europe is such a fabulous place.

Of course, there’s an advantage if you’re traveling as a group or as a corporate bunch. The Grampians Pyrenees Tours offers discounts for conference excursions, social get togethers, so-called overnight escape packages, wine appreciation lunches and dinners and country race meetings. You can either have these meetings customized or go with the prepared ones. If a corporate gathering incorporates corporate themes, then you may want to customize your meeting obviously.

Their winery tour lasts for three days and two nights including a full day winery tour. In Jerez, Spain, they have this winery tour but culminates already after lunch. Here in the northern portion of Spain, winery tours last for a day. The three day food tripping will surely gain you pounds so this tour is not advisable for obese people.

For plus size people, I’d rather suggest the horse racing package that Grampians Pyrenees Tours offers. Walking tours offered by other travel agencies allow you the option to enter either from France or from Spain. If you’re from another EU country, that is not a problem because EU member countries issue a common visa. If you also come from Australia, Malaysia and Indonesia, you don’t need a visa too. It’s part of a special arrangement with these countries. If you want to enter from France, you fly to Toulouse, then travel by land to Cauterets. It’s a pretty long ride but who says things don’t come with a price? If you’re on board a Mediterranean cruise ship, dock at Perpignan. If you come in from Spain, fly or take the ferry from Bilbao or from Barcelona. If you prefer working in your holidays but also want to learn more about different cultures, you can be Volunteer in Costa Rica or take advantage of your free time and improve your language skills: sprachreisen englisch Irland.

The French side of the Pyrenees is the most spectacular I should prefer. It’s actually part of the French’s national park so it must be pretty protected. Environmentalists would adore this mountain and how the UNESCO has guarded it.
